John William Schenk began his culinary education more than 40 years ago with training in classical French pastry and baking techniques at La Patisserie Boulangerie near Paris. He then studied with famous 3-Star Chef Michel Guerard at his restaurant in Pau, south of Bordeaux. Guerard is recognized with Paul Bocuse and Alain Chapel as one of the founders of French "Nouvelle Cuisine". Guerard was also the creator of "Cuisine Minceur" or "Slimming Food".
John was inspired by these unique and intense educational experiences. He returned to Colorado and continued his journey to culinary excellence by working as a chef at fine dining establishments in Keystone, Denver and Evergreen, where he also owned and operated J Williams---a bistro-style restaurant and catering business for 15 years.
John recently retired after two decades as a private chef for an investment firm's staff and the business owner's family here in Denver.
During these years Chef John catered events of all types for parties, ranging from intimate dinners for six to eight people to preparation and organization for up eight hundred guests. He manages all aspects of the event planning including
menu options and recipes, purchasing, food and beverage staffing, valet, florist, musicians, entertainment, rentals and decor.

John Schenk has been catering annual private events for my business for 27 years as well as amazing private parties in my home.
